Personnel Maintenance

The personnel page allows you to add employee logins to HyperPath, or alter older ones.

To view this page, choose "Personnel Maintenance" under the "Administration" menu.

To add an employee, choose "Add New Personnel" from the top of the page. Fill in the required information, and click "Add Personnel" to continue. Remember to choose a memorable but secure (preferably using numeric and alphabetical characters) password for the employee.

To update an existing employee, choose their name from the list. Alter any information (only their loginname cannot be altered except by HyperSoft Support) and click "Update Personnel."

To delete an employee, go to the update page and click "Delete." Pathologists cannot be deleted.


Microscopic Descriptions

Microscopic descriptions are used on case specimens.

To add a new micro description, choose "Add Microscopic Description" from the top of the page. Fill in the required information, and click "Add Description" to continue.

To update an existing description, choose the description from the list. Alter any information and click "Update Description."

To delete a description, go to the update page and click "Delete."


Gross Descriptions

Gross descriptions are used on specimen descriptions (the appearance of the specimens). They are descriptions that have been typed up with "blanks" that can be filled in by transcriptionists.

To access the gross list, click "Gross Descriptions" under the "Administration" menu.

To add a new gross description, choose "Add New Gross Code" from the top of the page. Fill in the required information, and click "Add Description" to continue.

To update an existing description, choose a description from the list. Alter any information and click "Update Gross Description."

To delete a description, go to the update page and click "Delete."


Diagnosis Codes

Diagnosis codes are used on specimen diagnosis'.

To add a diagnosis code, choose "Diagnosis Codes" from the "Administration" menu. Click the "Add New Diagnosis Code" link at the top of the page. Fill in the information, and click "Add Diagnosis."

To update an existing diagnosis, choose a diagnosis from the list. Alter any information and click "Update Diagnosis."

To delete a diagnosis, go to the update page and click "Delete."


Procedure Codes

Procedure codes are used as CPT Codes on cases. The procedures indicate the amount to be billed for each specimen or case.

To add a procedure code, choose "Procedure Codes" from the "Administration" menu. Click the "Add New Procedure" link at the top of the page. Fill in the information, and click "Add Procedure Code."

To update an existing procedure, choose a procedure from the list. Alter any information and click "Update Procedure Code."

To delete a procedure, go to the update page and click "Delete."


ICD9 Codes

ICD9 codes are used for case specimens.

To add an ICD9 code, choose "ICD9 Codes" from the "Administration" menu. Click the "Add New ICD9 Code" link at the top of the page. Fill in the information, and click "Add ICD9 Code."

To update an existing ICD9 code, choose an ICD9 code from the list. Alter any information and click "Update ICD9 Code."

To delete a code, go to the update page and click "Delete."


Stain Types

To add a stain type, choose "Stain Types" from the "Administration" menu. Click the "Add New Stain" link at the top of the page. Fill in the information, and click "Add Stain Type."

To update an existing stain type, choose a stain from the list. Alter any information and click "Update Stain Type."

To delete a stain type, go to the update page and click "Delete."
