Case Reporting

Case Summary

What is the case summary? The case summary page gives a summary (by date or practice) of the cases received and signed. You can quickly and easily view the number of cases and specimens received per day, and how long it took to sign them off.

To view the case summary, choose the "Case Summaries" link from the "Case Reporting" menu.

Next, enter a date range for the summary, and choose a practice (unless you want to list all practices).

You can choose to list the summary by date (show how many cases/specimens per date) or by practice (show how many cases/specimens per practice). Choose either one to generate the case summary.


Audit Log

What is the audit log? The audit log is a list of actions that employees have taken with cases and patient. It is a tracking system that tracks who did what and when. If a case is updated or deleted it will be listed on the audit log.

To view the audit log, choose the "Audit Log Reports" link from the "Case Reporting" menu.

Next, enter a date range or a case number for the audit log, and continue by click the appropriate button.

The audit log will list the date and time, case number, action, who did it, and any comments that were added to the log.


Pathology DX Text Searchs

What is the pathology dx text search? This page searches case diagnosis for a text string and lists the cases that match.

To begin a search, select "Pathology DX Text Searches" from the Case Reporting menu. Enter a string of text to search for. You can also narrow the search by indicating the practice or physician. Click "Search Pathology Diagnosis" when you're ready. Depending on how many cases are searched, it may take some time to complete.

Once the search is complete, the cases matching your query will be listed. Click on a case number to view a case.


CPT Code Count

What is the CPT code count? This page displays the number of cases within the date range provided that contain a searched CTP code.

To view this page, click "CPT Code Count" under the Case Reporting menu.

Choose a CPT Code from the drop down box, enter a date range, and choose a physician (or all physicians) and click "Count CPT Codes" to start the search.

Once the search is finished, it will display the number of found CPT codes that match the search parameters.


Peer Review Cases

What is peer review cases? Cases that have a peer review have been looked over by another doctor and possibly have attached comments.

To view this page, click "Peer Review Cases" on the Case Reporting menu.

Enter a date range and the search will display all cases that have a peer review in the date range you provided.

You can click on a case number to view that case report.


Stain Reports

What are stain reports? The stain reports page allows you to view all cases with a certain stain type or stain result.

To view this page, click the "Stain Reports" link under the Case Reporting menu.

First, choose a stain type. Next, enter a date parameter and choose the patient or control result. When you're ready, click "Search".

The next page will display all the specimens that matched your search. You can choose a patient to view, or click on the case number to view the case.


Patient, Sites, Diagnosis

What does this page do? This page offers a summary that lists the patient name, collection date, site, clinical diagnosis, and pathology diagnosis for cases that match the search parameters you enter.

To view this page, select "Patients, Sites, Diagnosis" from the menu under Case Reporting.

You can choose to enter a collection date range, a sign date range, and a doctor to narrow down the search. You can also combine two or more of these options.

Once you've entered the parameters and clicked "Search Cases" the next page will display all the matches.


Signed Reports

What does this page do? The signed reports page lists all reports that have been signed off by the pathologist.

To view this page, click "Signed Reports" under the Case Reporting menu.

Enter the date range in which the case was signed, and then choose a pathologist (the pathologist who signed off the case).

The next page will list all the criteria that matched your search.


Slide Labels

What are slide labels? This page prints slide labels on a formatted page of labels.

To view this page, click "Print Slide Labels" on the Case Reporting menu.

First, enter a case number range, then click "Print Slide Labels." The next page will display all the labels for the cases and specimens matching you search range.

If you have trouble with the labels printing correctly, make sure your print settings match those indicated.


Stain Labels

What are stain labels? This page prints stain labels on a formatted page of labels.

To view this page, click "Stain Labels" under the Case Reporting menu.

Enter a case number range for the labels, and indicated a stain (optional) to further narrow the search. You can also enter a date that will be printed on all the labels.

After clicking "Print" you should see the labels and be able to print them out.
